Sangareddy: A former Ordnance Factory employee Narender Reddy allegedly murdered his only son Shivacharan Reddy (6). According to Indrankaran sub-inspector Mangatayaru, Narender Reddy, who was removed by the ODF authorities for his involvement in the theft of cash from an ATM, has been acting strange since then. After he lost the job, he started pestering his in-laws for property as his wife Meghna was their only daughter. However, they refused. Narender Reddy, who has been waiting for revenge, picked up his son from tuition on Wednesday and took him to a forlorn place. He then tried to choke him to death with his school belt. Noticing that the boy was still alive, Narender Reddy smashed the boy’s head with a boulder. He returned home and told his wife that the boy was missing from the tuition. He then took his wife to the police station and made a complaint. The police, who responded immediately, questioned the tuition teacher who confirmed that it was Narender Reddy who picked up the boy from tuition. After thorough questioning, he confessed to committing the crimeA pal of gloom descended in the ODF estate area following the news of the gory incident. Police took Narender Reddy into custody.
