LIC officers on strike

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The LIC Class I officers of the State went on a day’s strike as part of a countrywide action today to press demands. They consisted of security provision at all branch offices, including the Satellite Sambark Offices (SSOs), posting of adequate number of officers in all offices, providing of adequate infrastructure to the SSOs and adopting of codified policies for promotions and transfers.

he LIC of India Class I Officers Association, which spear-headed the action, warned of intensifying the action if the management did not conceded the demands. — Special Correspondent
