Transfer of two SWR officials revoked

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The transfer orders of two senior South Western Railway officers, who were at the receiving end after Railway Minister Lalu Prasad was served “substandard” food during his recent Karnataka visit, have been cancelled.

Anwar Hussain, who was shifted to Mysore division, reported back in Bangalore on Wednesday as Senior Divisional Commercial Manager. Satyanarayana, who was transferred from Mysore to Bangalore in Mr. Hussain’s place has gone back to Mysore. An order to this effect was issued by the SWR General Manager.

Divisional Railway Manager, Bangalore, Mahesh Mangal who was transferred to East Coast Railway as Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineer (CSTE) will continue in Bangalore for the time being.

He will move out as and when he attains seniority to get promoted to the post of CSTE.

However, the orders transferring Sureshchandra, Area Manager, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation, to Lucknow from Bangalore remains, according to a senior SWR official.
