Rotary gesture to school

KANCHEEPURAM: A three-classroom building, constructed at the total cost of Rs.12 lakhs by the Rotary Club of Ambattur at Gurukulam Elementary School, Madurantakam, was dedicated to the school at a function held recently.

Though it was decided to create toilet facilities at this institution, the classrooms’ condition made the Rotary Club revise their proposal to include construction of three classrooms, said Project Chairman Sudha Umashankar,

Dedicating the classrooms and six toilets to the school, Past District Governor of Rotary International District 1870, Reinhard Fricke said Rotarians from Germany had contributed over one million euros for various social projects in India.
