Will perform puja in Mumbai, says Lalu

Sushanta Talukdar

Dimapur: Railway Minister Lalu Prasad on Thursday announced that he would perform this year’s “Chhath puja” in Mumbai and dared anyone to stop him.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo was addressing a public meeting here in support of his party candidates for the Nagaland elections.

Mr. Prasad flayed the Shiv Sena and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) for targeting north Indians in Maharashtra.

He said Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray should retire as he had become very old and his nephew Raj Thackeray should stop targeting north Indians.

While the ULFA targeted migrant workers from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, the MNS attacked such workers in Maharashtra. But migrant workers from north India were living in harmony with the people of Nagaland.
