Railway station gets make-over

After the modern International Airport to be inaugurated next month, it is the turn of Secunderabad Railway Station, the headquarters of South Central Railway to don a modern look. The announcement by the Railway Minister that Secunderabad Railway Station would be turned into a world class one, with all amenities and comforts keeping in view the convenience of travelling public indeed enthused the Hyderabadis.

The eventual make-over may take years but the fact that concrete proposals are being worked is welcome news. A modern railway station is certainly what the city of this size needs but one only hopes the heritage look will not be sacrificed in the name of renovation.
