Kozhikode: The Central Government Pensioners’ Association has said that the budget proposals do not have any reference to Central government employees and pensioners who are looking forward to the Sixth Central Pay Commission report and its implementation this fiscal. It termed the proposals ‘disappointing. Association general secretary P.K. Gopalakrishnan said that it was not clear whether funds had been earmarked for implementation of the report. The attitude of Finance Minister P. Chidambaram towards employees and pensioners was said to be of concern, care and compassion. But the budget proposals appeared to be disappointing.
