Balamuralikrishna, Subramanian in concert

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Come March 8, Koramangala Indoor Stadium will be packed with people enjoying the music of some of the best-known names of Indian music, M. Balamuralikrishna, L. Subramanian and Hariprasad Chaurasia. It is for the first time that the trio will be coming together in a concert.

“Resonance”, organised by Premaanjali Educational Trust, a charitable institution, will also feature Anindo Chatterjee on tabla and Ambi Subramaniam on the violin. Chairman of the trust Balakrishna Hegde said that the festival has been organised with a two-fold objective, one to raise funds for the trust and the other to treat Bangaloreans to an event featuring maestros.

They had earlier organised an event featuring Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Pandit Birju Maharaja and Ustad Zakir Hussain.

Violin maestro Subramaniam said he was delighted to play with Balamuralikrishna and Hariprasad Chaurasia.
