NEW LOOK: Mangalore Mayor Ganesh Hosabetu (second from right) and officials after inaugurating the concrete road on Friday. MANGALORE: Ganesh Hosabettu, Mangalore Mayor, said on Friday that the corporation would develop the Karnad Sadashiva Rao Road, in the heart of the city, into a four-lane concrete road. Speaking to presspersons after inaugurating the newly laid four-lane concrete road between Ambedkar Circle and Balmatta Circle he said that the concreting of the K.S. Rao Road would be taken up this year. “Officials are working out details in this regard,” he added. He said that the 400-m stretch inaugurated by him had cost Rs. 2.25 crore. It was laid by the Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation (KUIDFC). In the next phase, the KUIDFC would soon take up the four-lane concrete road laying work between Balmatta Circle and Mangalore Nursing Home.
