Acid thrown

NEW DELHI: A 23-year-old woman suffered burns in an acid attack allegedly by her estranged husband at Saraswati Vihar here on Friday.

According to the police, Jyoti was returning home after dropping her three-year-old child at a nearby crèche when her husband Mahender accosted her and allegedly threw acid on her face. Jyoti was rushed to Mahavir Hospital and diagnosed with 95 per cent burns.
