Final photo poll rolls out

THENI: Supplementary Electoral Roll-1 for all five assembly constituencies was published by Collector S.J. Chiru here on Friday.

The supplementary roll would be displayed at all taluk offices, tahsildar offices, municipality, town panchayat and village panchayat and village administrative officer’s offices for public view. After verification, scrutiny, inclusion, deletion and necessary corrections, the supplementary roll was released, he added.

Mr. Chiru said the district had 7,56,068 voters. Photographs of 7,29,117 voters had been included in the photo electoral roll. The photographs of 26,951 voters, about 3.56 per cent of the total voters in the district, would also be soon included as the per direction of the State Election Commission.

While Periakulam constituency had 1,53,764 voters, Theni had 1,66,365 voters and Bodi 1,42,823 voters.
