Painting expo closes today

PUDUCHERRY: A painting exhibition of artists P. Sakthivel and S. Priya will be on till Sunday at Alliance Colombani. The exhibition displays several self-portraits and abstract paintings of the duo.

“Through the self-portraits, I have tried to depict the girls in the villages in their traditional dress. I have also painted a number of parrots in each of the self-portraits as I like the movements of the bird,” Ms. Priya said.

The price of the paintings ranges from Rs.4,000 to Rs.90,000.

The exhibition was inaugurated on February 26 and will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
