From Paradise to God’s Own Country

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A team of students from Jammu and Kashmir will arrive here on Monday on an educational tour as part of Operation Sadbhavana, an outreach programme undertaken by the Indian Army to promote goodwill in the strife-torn State.

The team comprises 24 students (12 boys and 12 girls) hailing from the districts of Uri, Naugam and Baramullah in J&K. during the course of their visit, the children will visit various attractions of the city, including the museum, zoo, planetarium, Veli Tourist Village. The team will then travel to Kanyakumari and also visit the Padmanabhapuram Palace.

Tasting culture

The children would participate in camp fires and entertainment programmes showcasing south Indian culture.

The visit is being arranged by HQ 91 Infantry Brigade of the Army.
