PUDUCHERRY: B. Bhamathi, Joint Secretary (UT), Ministry of Home Affairs, led an Inter-Ministerial Central team to Puducherry on Saturday to assess the flood damage due to the rain last year. After observing a Power Point presentation made by Collector G. Thevaneethi Dhas, the team visited the coastal areas in Solai Nagar and Nonankuppam for a spot study on the damage caused by the rain. The team will proceed to Karaikal on Sunday to interact with officials and assess the crop damage.
