Karur Collector reviews works

KARUR: Collector T.N. Venkatesh inspected development works in Kadavur and Krishnarayapuram panchayat unions in the district recently.

He said works worth over Rs.37.47 lakh were being carried out in Kadavur Union. They included schemes under the Anaithu Grama Anna Marumalarchi Thittam in Palaviduthi panchayat and road-laying works under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme.

The Collector also inspected the Kaaniyalampatti panchayat office and the NREGP muster roll kept there. He visited the Health Sub-Centre and checked the distribution of medicines to patients.

Later, he visited Krishnarayapuram panchayat union and inspected works taken up at a cost of Rs.34.40 lakh in Balarajapuram, Renganathapuram, Thirukkampuliyur, Sithalavai and Sengal panchayats.
