Inspector suspended

CHENNAI: Inspector Krishnan, attached to the crime wing of the Salem city police, has been placed under suspension, a release from the Director General of Police said.

Chandrasekar, a film producer, had lodged a police complaint against director Murugadoss. Investigations revealed there was no prima facie evidence against the director.

However, the Inspector forcibly attempted to take the director to Salem from Chennai on Friday.

Hence, departmental proceedings have been initiated. — Special Correspondent
