NEW DELHI: Tata Motors on Saturday reduced prices of its hatchback Indica and Sedan Indigo by up to Rs. 15,300 to pass on the benefit of excise duty cut to its customers. The prices of Indica models have been reduced in a range of Rs. 8,500 to Rs. 14,600, while prices of the recently launched Indigo CS have been reduced in a range of Rs. 12,700 to Rs. 15,300, a company official said. Finance Minister P Chidambaram on Friday proposed to reduce the excise duty on small cars and two-wheelers to 12 per cent from 16 per cent. Tata Motors has also reduced the prices of its entire commercial vehicle range by two per cent. Luxury car maker Skoda has also announced a cut of up to Rs. 18,000 on its hatchback Fabia’s diesel variants. — PTI
