Bangalore: Coffee Board Chairman G.V.K. Rau and United Planters’ Association of Southern India (UPASI) secretary-general Ullas Menon have thanked Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram for the waiver of debt of coffee growers owning two hectares of land or less and 25 per cent of loans taken by growers owning more than two hectares if they make a one-time settlement of their dues.
