Gopalakrishna Prabhu appointed Registrar of Manipal varsity

Manipal: K. Gopalakrishna Prabhu has been appointed Registrar of the Manipal University here with effect from Friday. A press release issued by the Manipal University here on Saturday stated that Mr. Prabhu graduated in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Davangere (Mysore University), in 1988.

He obtained in M.Tech. in Biomedical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal (Mangalore University), in 1994. Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, awarded him Ph.D. degree for his research, “New methods for analysis of foot pressures at different levels of diabetic neuropathy and early detection of plantar ulcers”, in 2001. He received “Shri Shyam Lal Saxena Memorial Award” in 2006-07.
