A junior assistant working in the office of Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department died after the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a military truck at Lakdi-ka-Pul on Saturday.

The Police said the victim I. Srinivasulu, 35, was a resident of Chikkadpally.

A 24-year-old Rubeena Begum allegedly hanged herself to death at her residence in Warasiguda on Friday. Rubeena was married to Abdul Jilani in May 2006. For the last few months, he allegedly started demanding additional dowry.

Unable to bear the torture, she ended her life, the police said.
