Ajmer airport: Patel’s assurance

CHENNAI: The Civil Aviation Minister, Praful Patel, has promised to look into the matter of establishing an airport at Ajmer.

Mr. Patel’s assurance came in a letter to A.R. Antulay, Union Minister for Minority Affairs, Prince of Arcot Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali said. The Nawab, who is also president of the Ajmer Dargah Committee, had earlier urged the Civil Aviation Ministry to consider setting up a new airport at Ajmer for the benefit of pilgrims visiting both Pushkar and Ajmer.
