BANGALORE: The MICO Layout police have arrested three persons allegedly involved in the murder of the 27-year-old call centre employee Shashidhar Kumar near Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology on Thursday. The police said Seena (29), Imran (20) and Liyakath (18) had waylaid many people and robbed jewellery and cash. The police are looking for an autodriver, who is stated to be involved along with the three persons. ChargeA police constable attached to the J.P. Nagar police station has been accused of harassing a 19-year-boy and driving him to attempt suicide. The boy who consumed is in coma for the past three days in a private hospital. Police constable Mahadeva has been accused of assaulting Arun of Yelachenahalli in J.P. Nagar and also using some goons to ransack his house. Arun’s father P.P. Raju alleged that his son could not bear Mahadeva’s harassment and hence consumed insecticide. On Saturday Mr. Raju and his wife Lakshmamma met Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) S. Ravi and lodged a complaint accusing Mahadeva of harassing Arun on the instructions of the latter’s employer. Deputy Commissioner of Police Ravi told The Hindu that he would look into the complaint. An Assistant Commissioner of Police has been asked to submit a detailed report on Sunday, he said.
