Legal services campaign against child marriage

Chittoor: The A.P. State Legal Services Authority executive chairman, in view of the child marriages conducted in and around Srikalahastri during Mahasivarathri,directed the district legal services authority Chittoor to organise aggressive campaign against child marriages and to take necessary steps for prevention of such marriages with the help of district administration, Superintendent of Police, NGOs, community elders, school teachers and public at large.District judge cum chairman District Legal Services authority Durga Prasad said in a press note here on Sunday that the involvement of general public is very essential in prevention of child marriages. He has also urged the people to watch any preparation of such child marriages in the villages and to inform secretary, District Legal Services Authority Chittoor on 94409-01045
