MYSORE: Eight personalities belonging to the Hoysala Karnataka Brahmin community were felicitated at the valedictory of the Hoysala Karnataka Sangha’s centenary celebrations in Mysore on Sunday. Senior politician Harnahalli Ramaswamy felicitated novelist S.L. Bhyrappa, yoga guru Vidwan Pattabi Jois, astrologer Vidwan H.K. Krishnamurthy, theatre personality Master Hirannaiah, legal expert C.K.N. Raja, educationist H.N. Mahabala, senior police officer D.V. Guruprasad and actor and danseuse Lakshmi Gopalaswamy. However, Nadoja award winner G. Venkatasubbaiah was unable to attend the function. Mr. Guruprasad released a souvenir to mark the celebrations. Community members from across the State and the country participated in the two-day celebrations.
