MCF: we also manufacture di-ammonium phosphate

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: The Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited has clarified that it is also manufacturing di-ammonium phosphate and 20:20:0 in addition to urea, and not just urea as reported in these columns on February 25.

Besides, the company is also engaged in import and distribution of muriate of potash, according to a press release. In response to the claim made in the report that fertilizer companies are going slow on their production owing to non-finalisation of prices of fertilizers, the MCF has clarified that “the fertilizer companies are unable to manufacture phosphatic fertilizers owing to reduced supplies of raw materials by overseas suppliers consequent to steep increase in prices of sulphur.”
