Shimla: The Opposition Congress is gearing up to put the Prem Kumar Dhumal Government on the mat on a variety of issues during the Budget session of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly which begins on Tuesday. The BJP said it will voice its concern over “neglect” of the State in the Union and Railway Budget. “We have many issues on which to attack the government ... Congress will give a surprise to the government during the budget session,” Leader of Opposition Vidya Stokes told PTI. Ms. Stokes referred to the increase in bus fares in the state by 25 per cent, liquor becoming cheap after reduced VAT and “large scale” transfer of officials as issues on which the party would try to corner the Government in the Assembly.
