IUML to continue in DMK-led front

COIMBATORE: The Indian Union Muslim League will continue in the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam-led Democratic Progressive Alliance, State president of the IUML K.M. Khader Moideen said here on Sunday.

The ties would continue as long as the DMK followed the ideals of the Dravidian movement and worked for the cause of the minorities, Mr. Moideen told presspersons.

A compilation of party president G.M. Banatwala’s speeches in Parliament would be released in Chennai on March 10 to mark the founding day of the IUML.

The State unit would hold another meeting on June 14 in Chennai at which Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and Congress president Sonia Gandhi would participate.

He welcomed the waiver of Rs.60,000 crore farm loans announced in the Budget.
