New items at exhibition

Tuticorin: The Uttar Pradesh Handicrafts, Handloom, Artisan’s Association has introduced new value-added items at its Kalanajali exhibition, which was being held here since February 21.

A release said that ‘Raja Ravi Varma’ painting on bamboo mat, bags, file folders and mats made of cane from Assam, chair made of camel skin, handloom saris from Bengal, wooden toys from Mysore and silver jewellery from Hyderabad,etc. were some of the attractions.

A 20 per cent discount on all handloom items and a 10 per cent discount on handicrafts were being offered.

It will come to a close on March 9.
