Underpass work begins

Bangalore: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike on Sunday commenced work on the “magic box” underpass at the BDA Junction on T. Chowdaiah Road (Sankey Road) by laying the concrete bed to place the pre-cast elements.

The pre-cast elements (“magic boxes”) will be fixed on Monday night as it is difficult to carry out this work during daytime when there is heavy traffic, said K.S Krishna Reddy, BBMP Chief Engineer (Major Roads).

Meanwhile, residents around Palace Guttahalli were seen taking photographs of the BDA Junction just before the BBMP commenced the excavation process on Sunday.
