Malas threaten to obstruct Sonia’s meeting

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Reiterating their demand for disqualification of Congress MP Vundavalli Aruna Kumar for his reported remarks against Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the Mala Mahanadu has threatened to obstruct the proposed meeting of Congress president Sonia Gandhi in East Godavari on March 14 if action is not initiated against him.

The Mala Mahanadu called upon its leaders and activists to organise protests from mandal level that would culminate into a demonstration near the venue of Ms. Gandhi’s meeting.

The Mahanadu demanded that Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy tender apologies to Mala community for shielding Mr. Aruna Kumar.
