The three-day meeting, being organised under the auspices of Dharmapuram Adhinam at Dharmapuram in Mayiladuthurai, is expected to draw experts and exponents from across the country.

Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, conference convener Karumuttu T. Kannan said this would be the fourth edition of the international conference. Datto Samivel, Minister, Malaysia Government, would inaugurate the conference. Kumarasamy Thambiran Swamigal, the Dharmapuram Adhinam, said nearly 500 delegates from countries including U.K., Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa and the U.S. would participate. Heads of various Saiva mutts in the country would attend, besides professors and experts from different institutions.

Around 200 papers would be presented during the conference. The entire gamut of Saiva literature would come into focus, he said. According to the Adhinam, the objective of the international meeting was to restore the glory of Saiva literature.
