Thrown open to traffic

Bangalore: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on Sunday opened for public use the new culvert constructed at the junction of Victoria Road and Palm Grove Road.

The new culvert has made the movement of vehicles easy in the area as traffic had been affected since the BBMP commenced construction work in October 2007.

BBMP officials said that the old culvert constructed in 1926 was at a lower level and residents of the surrounding areas had complained that water entered their houses whenever it rained.
