Youth trapped inside ATM outlet rescued

CHENNAI: High drama prevailed after a youth was trapped inside an ATM outlet in Jothi Ammal Nagar, Saidapet, on Sunday morning.

The police said that when Madan Mohan, a resident of the same locality, went into a public sector bank’s ATM to withdraw money, he could not come out as the door got jammed.

However, as the youth had a mobile phone, he informed the police, following which the Fire and Rescue Services Department personnel rushed to the spot.

The bank officials were informed about the incident, the police added.
