Moment to cherish: The scout master receiving badge from ITDA project officer Budha Prakash Jyothi at the investiture ceremony in Bhadrachalam on Monday. — BHADRACHALAM: A week-long training programme organized for the scout master and the guide captains culminated in a grand investiture ceremony of the scout master and guide captains at the ITDA complex grounds here on Monday. It marked the re-introduction of Bharat scouts and guides in the ITDA schools in a big way this year. ITDA project Officer Budha Prakash Jyothi, who presided over the ceremony, said some 1,664 students from 52 schools would be inducted into Bharat Scouts and Guides in the sub plan area of the district. He said the scouts and guides were playing an important role in helping people on various occasions. Assuring the support of the TDA for expansion of the scouts and guides movement in the sub plan area would be extended all support. All the ashram schools being run by the ITDA would have 32 students each inducted into the programme. A great deal of service was expected from the scouts and guides during calamities. The Joint Commissioner of the Bharat Scouts and Guides T. Pochalu Dora supervised the week long training programme. The district training commissioner from Warangal, Rajamouli also took part in the programme. The ITDA appointed P. Narender as special officer tasked with the responsibility of spearheading the scouts and guides movement in the sub plan area. The scout masters who have undergone the training received their badges from the ITDA project officer.
