PUDUCHERRY: The public examinations for Class XII commenced on Monday with over 10,000 students, including private candidates, appearing from Puducherry. The examinations would go on till March 24. According to a release issued by the Directorate of School Education, a total of 9,288 students from 69 higher secondary schools and 1,200 private candidates attended the examinations in Puducherry. In Karaikal, 1,723 students from 13 higher secondary schools wrote the examinations in five centres.
