Plea against Tamil New Year day

PUDUKOTTAI: Members of the Rashtriya Swam Sevak Sangam submitted a memorandum to the Collector D. Uthirakkumaran on Monday, urging the State Government to re-consider the order declaring the first day of Thai month as the Tamil New Year’s Day. They said that the order would not only create confusion but also disturb the convention adhered to for centuries.
