Farmers observe fast

THENI: A total of 150 farmers observed fast here on Monday demanding uninterrupted power supply to irrigation pumps. Condemning the delay in payment of arrears for the sugarcane supplied to a sugar mill in the district, they also appealed to the Government not to snap supply of free electric power to motors meant for well irrigation.
