Arrested

DAVANGERE: The police arrested N.P. Nagaraj who, in the garb of a motor vehicle inspector, has been collecting money from vehicle owners. The police said that Nagaraj used to stand at certain points on the outskirts of the city, stop vehicles and demand that drivers show their car documents and driving licence. He used to extract money from those who did not have proper documents. — Staff Correspondent
