Rai, Talukdar return to recurve squad

KOLKATA: Tarundeep Rai of Services and Jayanta Talukdar of Steel Plant along with Rahul Banerjee of Steel Plant and Railways’s Mangal Singh Champia will spearhead the Indian men’s recurve team in the two Meteksan World Cups next month.

The first World Cup will be at Santo Domingo in Dominican Republic from April 1 to 5 and the second at Porec, Croatia, from April 15 to 19.

The team: Men: Recurve: Jayanta Talukdar, Rahul Banerjee (both Steel Plant), Mangal Singh Champia (Rlys) and Tarundeep Rai (Ser).

Compound: K.H. Ratan Kumar (Ser), Isiah R. Sanam (AP), Chungda Sherpa (Ser) and Babban Kumar (MP).

Women: Recurve: L. Bombayla Devi, Dola Banerjee (both Rlys), V. Pranitha (SP) and Chekrovolu Swuro (Nag).

Compound: Jhano Hansdah, Bheigyabati Chanu, Namita Yadav (all Jharkhand) and Vrushali Gorle (Mah).
