Team work to the fore at annual day

BANGALORE: Seshadripuram Higher Primary School celebrated its annual day recently.

At the cultural programme, which began with recitation of the Vedas, children not only showed their talent but also had enormous fun watching their friends perform.

Children danced to the tunes of Bollywood numbers and presented some melodious songs.

 They just loved the attention. All the hard work done by teachers behind the scenes got adequately recognised by the huge gathering of parents.

Suresh Moona, Director of Arambha, spoke on the potential in every child and told the parents and teachers to provide good opportunities to each child. The meritorious students were given away prizes.

Vice-president of Seshadripuram Education Trust N.K. Panditharadhya, presided.

 Trust general secretary W.P. Krishna, chairperson of betterment committee Saroja Nanjappa, and trustee, Veerabhadraiah, were present.

Award

The junior wing of National Cadet Corps (NCC) of Baldwin Girls’ High School, Richmond Road, was given the Best Institution Award by the Karnataka and Goa Directorate recently. The award was given in recognition of the social service and adventure activities conducted by the school’s NCC unit in the academic year.

 Air Commodore P. Rajesh Rao presented the award to school principal Indira Williams at a function held recently.

 NCC Officer Umera Parveen and Col. R.N. Rai, Commanding Officer, were present.
