Santos tops group

KOLKATA: South Africa’s Santos FC played out a 1-1 draw with East Bengal to ensure top position in Group ‘A’ in the 113th IFA Shield football tournament here on Monday. Gregory Michael Roelf for Santos and Edmilson Marques for East Bengal scored.

Churchill Brothers ensured that it stayed on top of Group ‘B’, beating Mohammedan Sporting (Kolkata) 2-0. Ogba Kalu and Jaison Valses scored. — Principal Correspondent
