PUDUCHERRY: To popularise and promote New and Renewable Sources of Energy (NRSE) systems and devices the Renewable Energy Agency of Pondicherry is conducting an exhibition from March 5 to 9. The exhibition on ‘New and Renewable Energy, Energy Conserving Devices’ seeks to create awareness of technological development and promotional activities. Manufacturers and dealers of various renewable energy devices from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will participate in the exhibition. Chief Minister N. Rangasamy would inaugurate the exhibition. Renewable energy clubs in Pondicherry Engineering College, Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology, Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College and Regency Institute of Technology, Yanam, would have renewable energy exhibits. Apart from creating awareness of the usage of renewable energy and energy conserving devices, the exhibition seeks to protect the environment by giving visitors tips to reduce global warming and dependence on fossil fuels. The expo will be held at Gandhi Thidal, Beach Road.
