Two killed in accident near Jolarpet

JOLARPET: Two persons were killed in an accident at Thendral Nagar near Jolarpet here on Tuesday.

According to police, Sivalingam (35) of Vaiyambadi was on his way to Tirupattur on a two-wheeler. A lorry driven by Tirupathi (30) of Periapettai hit his bike from behind. Sivalingam fell off his bike and was killed on the spot. Meanwhile, a lorry coming in the opposite direction, rammed Tirupathi’s lorry. Tirupathi was killed in the impact.

Thirunavakkuarasu, who was driving the other lorry, sustained grievous injuries and was admitted to the Tirupattur General Hospital.
