He wants to know social atmosphere in the State Youth Congress workers asked to be prepared
CHIKMAGALUR: Youth Congress State unit president Krishna Byregowda said here on Monday that AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi would tour the State in the last week of March. Mr. Krishna Byregowda told presspersons that Youth Congress workers in all districts had been instructed to be prepared for Mr. Gandhi’s visit. He said the Congress leader was on a tour of various States to meet the people and to know social, economic and cultural atmosphere of the area. Stating that programmes would be undertaken in all Assembly constituencies to educate people on the provisions of the Union Budget, he said indulging in caste politics had demoralised the youth. Criticising communal forces for attempting to divide the forces, he called upon the youth to overcome such forces. He said delimitation of constituencies would provide more opportunities to the youth. Denying that the Congress was trying to delay the elections, he reiterated that his party was ready to face the elections as soon as the voter’s list was ready.
