Ministerial staff stay away from work

PUDUCHERRY: A section of the ministerial staff on Tuesday stayed away from work to highlight their grievances, including filling of vacancies.

The staff, rallying under the banner of the Pondicherry State Unified Ministerial Staff Association, staged a demonstration near the Secretariat. Convener of the association P. Lakshmanasamy said that the workload of the staff had increased as around 500 vacancies had to be filled.
