Tempo operators call off strike

PUDUCHERRY: Tempo operators on Tuesday called off their strike after the municipal authorities promised to look into the demand for earmarking parking space inside the bus terminus.

The issue was resolved at a meeting convened by Municipal Commissioner N. Sumathi. Representatives of the tempo operator’s welfare association participated in it. The Commissioner told them about the proposed improvement plan at the bus stand and assured that their demand would be considered.
