Settle Chengara agitation: BJP

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president P.K. Krishnadas demanded here on Tuesday that the government settle the agitation by the poor at Chengara for land. The BJP leader said the demand of the agitators was just. However, the government had not come forward to discuss their demand. While successive governments organised fairs for distribution of titles to the encroachers of hilly areas, they ignored the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes. — Staff Reporter
