Staff Correspondent

HUBLI: Ismail Jalagar, counsel of alleged SIMI activist Mohammed Asif, has filed an application in the court on Tuesday seeking action against the jail authorities for shifting his client from Dharwad prison to Belgaum prison. According to reliable sources, Mr. Jalagar filed the application in the court on Tuesday saying that by shifting Mr. Asif from Dharwad prison, the jail authorities had violated the court order, which had asked that he be kept in Dharwad prison for security reasons. When the matter came before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (Third Court) M.K. Ashok, he posted the case for hearing to March 6.
