Three suspended

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has suspended from service city zoo senior superintendent A. Fathuma Beevi, junior superintendent N. Sugunanandan and Upper Division clerk R. Deepa on the basis of a report of the Finance Inspection Wing that detected financial and procedural lapses at the zoo. Ms. Beevi has been suspended for supervisory lapses and Mr. Sugunanandan for financial irregularities in the purchase of dietary articles and medicines for animals. Zoo director Elcy George said the suspension orders would be served on Thursday morning. — Staff Reporter
