Three-year-old girl run over by vehicle

NEW DELHI: A three-year-old girl was run over by a vehicle belonging to an official of the Zimbabwean Embassy here at Vasant Vihar on Tuesday.

Yusuf Maisi (35), the driver of the Embassy vehicle, ran over Babli at a traffic signal on Rao Tula Ram Marg around 6 p.m. when the signal turned green. Yusuf took the girl to a nearby Indian Spinal Injuries Hospital where she was declared brought dead.

Babli was the daughter of a vendor selling balloons at the traffic signal.
